Teaser Tuesday

On Friday, we had our last wedding of the 2011 season and it was super romantic from beginning to end!

Megan and Andrew's guests participated in a beautiful candlelit ceremony in the Conservatory at Glen Foerd Mansion, then enjoyed a delicious dinner service by Conroy Catering. Everyone moved back into the Conservatory to dance the rest of the night away to tunes spun by Matt Bowyer of Synergetic Sound and Lighting. Synergetic also provided the gorgeous ceremony and reception lighting which went perfectly with the florals by Nature's Gallery. The bride and Groom completed their night with a sparkler sendoff as they kissed under the stars. My favorite part of the day was watching the sweet "First Look" they shared, which was arranged by the amazing Tony and Amy at Hoffer Photography! They are an awesome team to work with- just look at these images!! Thanks to all involved and congrats to Megan and Andrew!

What an amazing weekend! On Friday we told you we were headed to the shore for Annemarie and Jimmy's wedding and it was all that we expected and more! The weather was unreal for November and they were able to have their reveal meeting right on the beach in front of their bridal party. After some photos on the beach, everyone headed over to Abbie Holmes Estate where they had their beautiful sunset ceremony, performed by Andy Mahaney. Guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks at cocktail hour and Jason from Synergetic Sounds got the party started when everyone headed to the reception space. Annemarie saw this post on our blog and decided she wanted to have us design her menus to look just like them! They turned out great and guests loved seeing something different from a standard menu card. A huge thank you to Jennifer Childress Photography for sending us these incredible images! You don't want to miss the full blog post for all of the eye candy, so keep your eye on the blog!

We didn't let the crazy weather make our two weddings this weekend any less wonderful! Read on below about Amanda and Andrew's wedding and Stephanie and Josh's wedding.

Snowfall in October?!? Sure!! Amanda and Andrew were married on Saturday, in the midst of a snowy Nor'easter but they didn't let it dampen their spirits one bit! The girls looked beautiful thanks to Meghan Cahill and Aleksandra Ambrozy, and Prime Time Limo made sure all got to the church on time (even though the roads were terrible!). Pastor Skip from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ardmore directed a beautiful ceremony, then Craig and the team from Jeffrey Miller Catering ran a great reception at the Baldwin School! Many thanks to Del's Groove for keeping the guests entertained and to Shelby from Sweet Pea for making the space look beautiful. Blossom Productions and Carden's Photography were also on board to capture the memories (and there were tons!!) for the couple! Thanks to Carden's Photography for the teaser below. If you look closely you can see Erin holding up Amanda's dress so that it wouldn't get covered in slush, that's dedication!
Stephanie and Josh were married on Sunday at Normandy Farms. Their reveal meeting was in the library and after they saw each other, they and their 16 person bridal party, braved the cold and took some great pictures outside. Serious kudos to all of them, they did an amazing job trekking through the snow, wet grass and large puddles to get some great images, without any complaints and we're sure the pictures are going to be worth it! They were married in front of all of their friends and family in the Grand Ballroom. During cocktail hour we flipped the room and when guests reentered, they saw the beautiful arrangements designed by Trevose Flowers. A huge thank you to Cindy Guessford Photography for sending us these teaser images! We can't wait to see the rest!!

Jessica and Robert were married this weekend and it was such a wonderful wedding! The weather was perfect and working with a couple that is so in love, made our job easy! They were married in "The Rooftop" at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. Guest were able to look up to see the beautiful ceremony performed by Eric from Water Lily Weddings. Jess and Bob strung pictures of themselves growing up on mini clothes pins, which made a perfect conversation piece for guests as the place cards were placed on the table below. One bottle of wine was placed on each table for guests to sign and wish the newlyweds a happy anniversary for that numbered year. The cake that The Restaurant School made was absolutely stunning and fit in perfectly with their color scheme.

We have had a busy two weeks to catch up on for this week's Teaser Tuesday, you'll see what we were up to this weekend and last weekend! Read on below to find out about our 5 weddings!

Alyssa and Josh were married in a garden ceremony by Water Lily Weddings at the Merion Tribute House. The venue is amazing, but Synergetic Sound and Lighting took it to another level by adding purple uplighting and a custom gobo that matched the stationery suite we created for them. Thank goodness for Jennifer Childress Photography! We love that her photos tell an amazing story and show off all the details...we can't wait to see the rest! It was such a fun wedding, thanks to Jason spinning and Becky and Nicole coordinating every detail flawlessly.
Last Saturday was perfect wedding weather and Christina and Frankie really took advantage! We started the day at Hotel DuPont, then took the whole gang over to Gibraltar Gardens for photos before the incredible ceremony at St. Anthony's Church. At the end of the ceremony, the couple released doves before climbing into their vintage Rolls Royce for a ride over to their fairytale reception in the Hotel's Gold Ballroom. As guests entered, they were amazed by decor done by Flowers by Yukie- the gold linens, tons of crystals and candles made for a sparkling and romantic event! EBE's Paris rocked the dancefloor all night and a great time was had by all. Once again, Mike and Jana from mkPhoto were awesome to work with and Amy, Christina and the gang from Society Hill Studios made the day fun and they all captured some really amazing stuff in the process! To see Christina and Frankie's fabulous video clip, you can go here.  It's so fantastic!
Our second wedding last Saturday was Brooke and Sean's at Manufacturer's Country Club. They were married outside of the clubhouse overlooking the golf course. The backdrop was simply gorgeous for their ceremony! Sean is a teacher at The Haverford School, so they had The Notables come and sing during the ceremony. It was a wonderful personal touch and all of the guests were talking about how great they were! This group was a dancing bunch and Nick from Schaffer Sounds got the party started for them and everyone was on the dance floor, all night long. Their cake, made by Cake Art Studio, matched their fall color scheme perfectly and tasted delicious!
Cairnwood is our favorite venue, hands down. We love working there and Ashley and Nick's wedding was no exception! The bride and groom worked so hard on the elements of their day and we were so excited to bring everything to life! Lovely Locks did a fantastic job on Ashley and the girls' hair and Nina from Cheekadee added the last touches for makeup- all of the ladies looked amazing! Their ceremony under the trees was short and sweet but the couple's vows brought many to tears. Daisy, their dog, made a surprise visit to cocktail hour and the couple took cute pictures with her! Karen's Catering provided a great setup of stations for guests to enjoy and Dave Hoeffle from Sound Choice kept their dancefloor packed all night! The highlight of the evening was a surprise serenade by the groom to a very shocked bride :)
Erin and Rhett had a perfect day this Saturday at White Clay Country Club. They started their day with photos at Delaware Park Racetrack (a race was named just for them!) and followed it with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the veranda. Celebrations Design Group created beautiful arrangements for the guest tables that coordinated with the couple's Derby themed wedding. We incorporated a lot of racing related touches in their stationery and everything tied together so nicely! Once again, Synergetic Sound and Lighting rocked the house- everyone was up dancing and loved the added touch of purple uplighting- it really created a great ambiance to the room. Even with all the dancing, Erin and her bridesmaids looked fabulous thanks to great job done by Gloss Salon for their hair and Kristen Lober for the makeup. Thanks to Christine and Kate of Bev Michel Photography for the cute teasers and the fun night!

We had another fabulous two wedding weekend! See where we were below!

I loved this wedding!! Ellenmarie and Anthony are such a fun couple and have a great energy that just makes you want to smile! Their day started off with a ceremony at Old St. Mary's Church in Philadelphia. The rain held off for the couple and their bridal party to do a session in Washington Square with Gary and crew of Clair Pruett and video by Christina and Amy of Society Hill Studios. Following the photos, the couple joined their guests for an amazing cocktail hour and reception by Cescaphe at the Atrium at the Curtis Center. Once again, the staff was amazing, the service was incredible and the venue looked spectacular! Alicia from Il Fiore Bianco created gorgeous floral designs and the highlight of the entire night was a surprise performance by the Mummers String Band!! Congratulations to Ellenmarie and Anthony on their perfect wedding day! -Erin
Winterthur Garden and Estate is the perfect setting for a fairytale wedding. Shani and Erik were married on Sunday in a beautiful Jewish ceremony by the reflecting pool. Guests mingled during cocktail hour and sipped spiked hot apple cider by the pool, then took in the gorgeous sites on their way to a reception in the Visitors Center Pavilion. Restaurants Associates, the exclusive caterer, provided an incredible menu of Pacific Rim influenced dishes that were exotic and delicious! Once again, Matt Bowyer, of Synergetic Sounds, had every guest up dancing all night, while the amazing Tom Feehly captured every moment beautifully in his photographs. It was a night to remember and one I'm so proud to have been apart of. -Erin

We had another busy weekend full of amazing weddings!!

Sarah and Adam had a fabulous day! Their ceremony on the beach was officiated by Jeff Grisiel and was incredibly moving! The floral aisle markers by South Pacific Florists played double duty as their reception centerpieces. Sarah went crazy with all the fun details and even created her own lounge pillows and table runners to coordinate with her gray and yellow color palette. Guests danced the night away at the Atlantic Sands Hotel while Ben Ostroff from EBE spun tunes. Thanks to Angie Moon for this teaser photo- we're really looking forward to sharing the rest of her beautiful pictures in the future!
Sherrie and Howard were married on Saturday and from start to finish their day was incredible! The river pavilion at Waterworks was the setting for their amazing ceremony, officiated by my favorite wedding pastor, Andy Mahaney, with the beautiful music, played by the Rittenhouse String Quartet. Once the guests moved into the ballroom at Waterworks, with centerpieces by Amaranth Florists, DJ Matt Bowyer with Synergetic Sounds took over and the result was a jam packed dance floor for the entire night!! Guests had a great time celebrating Sherrie and Howard's new union and photographer, Scott Lewis was on hand to capture all the unforgettable moments. Thanks to Scott for this teaser of our stunning bride, and for being so fun to work with! Can't wait to show off more!
On Monday, we switched gears a bit and went back to our corporate event planning roots! We planned and executed a Portfolio Tasting for Capital Wine and Spirits to perfection. About 750 bar, restaurant, and tavern owners gathered at the beautiful Crystal Tea Room to sample the incredible selection of wines, liquors and cordials that Capital has to offer. With the help of Synergetic Sounds, we created an amazing production for the attendees, that they really enjoyed! Guests had a great time visiting the supplier booths and checking out the Mixology Room. DJ Andrew rocked the turntables all night and Finley Catering provided excellent service to our attendees. We love doing corporate and social events, so don't forget us when it's time to plan your next big event!

9/10/11 was a very busy day for us! Here are some teasers from our three wonderful weddings on Saturday!

Stacie and John completely transformed Mendenhall Inn by draping the dancefloor and uplighting the room! Thanks to Synergetic Sound and Lighting, the draping started down, to create a ceremony area on the dancefloor without losing the wow factor of the reception room reveal. The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney, officiated a beautiful ceremony that everyone loved. We did all the stationery for Stacie and John and used a beautiful palette of mauve and gray with scroll motif details. Many many thanks to Jennifer Childress Photography for these incredible images and just for being awesome to work with! Thanks to Steve Croce of Silver Sound, the gang danced the night away and everyone had a great time!
Saturday was a perfect day for a wedding at the Adventure Aquarium! Christina and John started off with a reveal meeting on Broad Street in front of City Hall. Beth from Artistic Imagery took the bridal party around Philly for some amazing photos! The bouquets were done by Eventricity and looked great against the purple bridesmaid gowns. That evening, the Shark Tank at the Aquarium was transformed into the ceremony area where the couple was married in front of their family and friends. The rotunda was the site for the reception area, which was draped and lit by Event FX. Tom from Magical Sight and Sound provided the beautiful monogram and kept the dancefloor packed, and Rae from Philly Cake Art created the delicious cupcake display. It was a fantastic and unforgettable night!
Kim and Carl were married in an intimate outdoor ceremony at Nassau Valley Vineyards. It was a lovely day and the couple walked all over the property to get some really cool photographs taken by Skyla Makay. As the guests made their way into cocktail hour, they were greeted by a wine tasting setup, provided by the vineyard, so they could sample the delicious wines made onsite. The reception room revealed a beautiful setup of handcarved pumpkin centerpieces, fun paper lanterns and tables named after beaches in Hawaii. The guests had a blast dancing the night away to awesome music spun by Jim of Synergetic Sounds. Annemarie, Hannah and Caitlin really did a fantastic job of setting up the spaces from scratch and coordinating the flow of the day!

This Sunday was Angela and Sean's wedding day! Angela and Sean are such a sweet couple and their family and friends made their day so memorable with some of the best speeches we've ever heard! Their ceremony was held at Holy Rosary Church in Delaware followed by a fantastic reception at The Atrium at the Curtis Center in Philadelphia. Bigg Romeo rocked the reception and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Cescaphe outdid themselves again with the spread of food and guests enjoyed the photo booth provided by The Wilmington Photo Booth Company. We can't wait to blog their entire wedding but to hold you over, enjoy these images that Pete from 217 Photography sent us! Thanks Pete!

On Friday, we woke up to the incredible news that we had won #1 Wedding Planner for Philly's HOTLIST for the third year in a row!  The contest is based on votes, so we have to send out a huge THANK YOU to all of our friends that took the time to cast a vote for us.  It's such a honor to be among the finest wedding professionals in Philadelphia that also won Top 5 honors.  If you have a chance, take a second and check out the list of winners here

We had two weddings this past weekend and while they were cut a bit short because of the hurricane, they were still rocking parties and everyone enjoyed themselves!!

At the Brandywine Manor House, in the midst of Hurricane Irene, Amy and Sean took their vows and had quite unforgettable night celebrating with their guests.  Although loss of electricity ended the party a bit early, we were able to get through all their formalities, snag some gorgeous photos and really enjoy a great party, courtesy of Kurt from Synergetic Sounds.  Many thanks to Kylene Cleaver for capturing these amazing images... we cant wait to see the rest!!
Devon and John's reception was held at the Atrium at The Curtis Center and they didn't let the hurricane ruin their big day! They decided to have fun in the rain and Devon wore cute rain boots and the bridal party carried umbrellas to match their color scheme. Cescaphe's staff did an amazing job as usual with the wide spread of delicious food and made their stunning cake, that was topped with a custom cake topper made to look like the couple in a gondola! EBE Rio did a great job and had the guests on the dance floor all night!
We'd also like to take some time to sincerely thank all the wedding professionals that worked this weekend.  You braved dangerous and scary conditions to help pull off amazing evenings for these couples, and your sacrifices were definitely appreciated.  We are beyond relieved that everyone got home safely and are so grateful for all you did to make these weddings successful.  Thank you for going above and beyond!!

Jena and Jason had a wonderful wedding day that began with a ceremony at the quaint church, St. Joseph's on the Brandywine and ended with a rocking reception at Waterfalls.  The aqua and brown color scheme was perfect for all the beachy details the couple included.  Table assignments were written on sand dollars arranged in a bed of sand, the centerpieces were candles, sand and shells and each place setting was topped off with a cute starfish lollipop.  We put together an awesome candy buffet to keep guests on a sugar high while Pat and Collin from Synergetic Sounds kept them on the dancefloor.  Special thanks to Misty Dawn Photography for capturing all the great images and being so fun and awesome to work with!
Pam & Scott were married at the Please Touch Museum on Saturday.  The happy couple was married under a beautiful Chuppah in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.  Guests enjoyed a night of celebration while eating delicious food by Max & Me catering and dancing to tunes performed by Milan 77.  It was a perfect day! Thank you to K&K Photography for this storyboard!
