Today's Brides and Grooms have become so creative and unique when planning their weddings, that being creative with the cake topper should be no exception. Another idea for a cake topper is to go with the theme or season of your wedding. For example, if you are having a winter wonderland themed wedding, try a snowflake as a topper or if you are having a beach themed wedding, try seashells or a starfish.

A fun idea that is popular today is a custom bride and groom cake topper. There are great places to have a custom cake topper made to look exactly like you! You can get a classic bride and groom topper or have it made to look like you. I have even seen customized bobble head dolls!

Be Creative

For my wedding, I created my own cake topper to look like our dogs, Oreo and Shadow. I found cute dog ornaments and created a top hat and veil out of clay and a base for them to stand on. It might not have been the most glamorous cake topper but it was a personal touch for our wedding day. Every year at Christmas I can hang out topper on our Christmas tree. It's a great reminder of our wedding day!

Must Have Monday

We have seen some really cute cake toppers in the past, so for today's Must Have Monday, I went over to Etsy and did some browsing! I think that a lot of the time, a topper for your wedding cake can be a last minute decision or it can just be an after thought. You have so many things on your to do list that a cake topper doesn't even register. Cake is extremely important, everyone looks at the cake, EVERYONE! There are tons of options that you can use to top your cake. Here are a few of my favorites and links so you can check them out.
