Kyle and Olin's Wedding

We showed you Kyle and Olin's wedding video in July and now we are sharing the beautiful images from their wedding! They held their classic and elegant wedding in June at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Before walking down the aisle, Kyle and her bridesmaids got ready at Hyatt at the Bellevue, where the ladies from Jillian Grace Salon came to do everyone's hair and makeup. After the ceremony, guests headed over to The Union League of PhiladelphiaSynergetic Sound and Lighting up lit the room in amber and projected Kyle and Olin's monogram on the dance floor along with a dance floor wash. Their fun color scheme of navy blue and silver with touches of green, purple and pink, looked perfect in the ballroom! The centerpieces made by Carl Alan Floral Design, matched their color scheme and looked fabulous on top of the navy blue pintuck linens. We created their ceremony programs, menus and other various reception signage- along with their adorable "Do Not Disturb" signs, which guests grabbed on their way out of the reception! Guests were able to enjoy the photo booth provided by Go Festive and when they weren't in line, they were tearing up the dance floor thanks to Jellyroll! Olin even surprised his new bride- and all of their guests- by singing with the band on stage and Tweed Weddings was on hand to capture all the fun! A huge thanks to Philip Gabriel Photography for sending us these stunning images!

Congratulations Kyle and Olin!

Teaser Tuesday

We had a busy weekend filled with 2 weddings and a baby shower! First up is Kris and Steve's wedding on Saturday at the Inn at Penn. Jason from Synergetic Sounds and Lighting had the dance floor packed and also up lit the room in pink for the couple, it looked incredible! Brittany from Petals Lane outdid herself with the bouquets and table arrangements. They were SO beautiful! Thank you to Mike Landis for letting us use these preview pictures!! Can't wait to see the rest!
Kyle and Olin were also married on Saturday. They held their wedding at Saint Mark's Church and their reception at the Union League. We did all of their paper products including the signage below that was used for their signature cocktails; the blushing bride and the ideal man! Kyle and Olin also had us make these fantastic Do Not Disturb signs for the guest that partied the night away with Jellyroll!! Synergetic Sounds and Lighting up lit the room in a warm amber and projected the couple's monogram onto the dance floor.
Alison's baby shower was on Sunday and we created the paper and the design of the shower to match baby Brendan's bedding! It was held at Cavalier's Country Club in Delaware. We made the centerpieces to match the under the sea and bubble theme. Liz Marden made the delicious cake and guests were treated to chocolate covered pretzel rods made by Ro's Rods

Featured Bride Friday

This week's featured bride is Kyle, who is getting married next Saturday! Read on below to find out more about her wedding plans.

Names of Bride & Groom:  Kyle & Olin

Wedding Date: June 4, 2011

Ceremony Location: St. Mark’s Church in Philadelphia

Reception Location: Union League of Philadelphia

How did you and your fiancé meet?:  We met when we were both sophomores at Brown.

Tell us about the proposal: Olin is from Vermont, so we often travel to Burlington to see his family.  Last summer, we decided to go to the Vermont Brewers festival while we were up there.  Before the festival, we spent all afternoon doing our favorite things in Burlington: lunch at Flatbreads, shopping on Church Street, and ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s.  We had some time to kill, so we stopped to take a break and hang out in the park.  As we were about to leave, Olin popped the question!  I said yes, and we had an amazing night at the festival enjoying the sunset over Lake Champlain.

What is the overall theme of your wedding? Do you have an inspiration board you’d like to share?: The theme for the wedding is elegance, tradition, and FUN.  The Union League is a classic space, and we wanted the wedding to have the same feel, but we’re also throwing in some modern touches so the wedding reflects our personalities.

What has been your favorite part of planning?: I live in Boston, so I’ve really enjoyed traveling back to the Philadelphia area to visit my family and share the planning with them.

What has been your fiancé’s favorite part of the planning?: Working with Kurt and Jellyroll to plan the music for the event.

What are you looking forward to most on the wedding day?: Our first dance!  We’ve been practicing!

What is your fiancé most looking forward to on the wedding day?:  He says he’s most looking forward to standing at the altar and seeing me come up the aisle…but I suspect it’s sipping an Old Fashioned at the Union League with his buddies after we’re officially married!

Which vendor has been your favorite to work with?: Proud to Plan!  I would never have been able to do this without the recommendations and advice from Erin and Lisa.  I’ve also loved working with Gabe from Philip Gabriel photography.  Our engagement pictures were such a success – I can’t wait to see how he captures the wedding day.

What is your biggest worry about the wedding day?: I hope it doesn’t rain, but at least all the events are indoors.

What makes your wedding unique from all the others?: We have guests flying in from all over the U.S. as well as Australia and the U.K.  We’re so excited that all our family and friends are coming to celebrate with us!

Where will you be spending your honeymoon?: We’re going to Hawaii for our honeymoon!  We’re looking forward to adventuring around the islands and finally taking some time to relax.

Madeleine and Eddie's Wedding

Madeleine and Eddie were married in late October at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and held their reception at Union League in Philadelphia. Madeleine and her bridesmaids had a stylist from the Ritz Carlton Salon come to her families home to do everyone's hair and makeup. Their color scheme was beautifully simple; white, navy blue and silver. Carl Alan Floral Design created the bouquets and centerpieces that were made up of mostly fresh white roses. They looked stunning in the ballroom! Instead of a traditional favor, they made a donation to a local dog rescue in their dog Seamus's name! They also had a basket for guests to take a snack for themselves and a snack for their dog on their way out, it was a huge hit! The dance floor was packed all night thanks to the Sid Miller Band, who made sure everyone was on their feet dancing! Video One Productions was on hand to capture all of the action of the day from them getting ready to the very last dance. A big thank you to Mike and Jana of mk Photo for sending us these amazing images!!

Congratulations Madeleine and Eddie!
