Monogrammed Jewelry

As y'all know, I love anything monogrammed. I don't have any kind of monogrammed jewelry (though I have had a signet ring in the past. I was at a train station and it flew off of my finger a couple weeks after I got it because my fingers are reallyy thin. It landed on the train tracks and now I don't have a signet ring!!) but I still love it. Here are my favorite items.

Also, here are some great websites to get monogrammed jewelry.

Have a great day y'all!!

Prom!!!

Prom is on Monday and I absolutely cannot wait. I wish I could post the video of my date asking me to prom but it has my last name in it (and I would rather not give that out!). But, regardless of the date, I'm so excited for getting ready!! For the past month I have been working out religiously and diligently every afternoon at the gym, and it's definitely paid off! Now the sun is out, and I've been working on my tan (so I don't have to go to a tanning bed or get a spray tan). The best part is that the academic part of school finally ended yesterday (my last exam was yesterday), and now everything is about prom, prom, prom!!

I'm having 7 girls come over on Monday afternoon to get ready for prom. Most of them are getting their hair done professionally but we're still going to do our makeup and get dressed and have so much fun! I'm doing my best friends hair and makeup, so wish me luck! Also, I'm trying to think of a cute, girly movie to put on while we're getting ready -- any thoughts? Let me know!

I finally chose a dress, and it's the Lilly Pulitzer Jacqueline Dress Embroidered in Hotty Pink. It fits perfectly and it's short and PINK! I feel like a Barbie doll in it! The embroidery on the top and bottom is so pretty!! Did I mention it's hot pink!?!?

Next are the shoes. Staying true to the Lilly girl that I am, I'm wearing the LP Swingin' on a Star Heels. They're 3 inches (which is good because then I'm still shorter than my date!) and the gold goes perfectly with the dress. I actually have to walk around in them all weekend because I am not very coordinated at walking in heels!! I hardly wear them so I have to become an expert by Monday afternoon!

This is not a very good picture (as it was taken on my phone), but these are the earrings I'm wearing. When my mom and I went to get the boutonniere for my date, there was a TON of adorable jewelry at the florist. My mom and I each got a pair, and they were from local jeweler Trudy Selib.

The clutch I'm bringing is the LP Shell Shocked Clutch in Classic White First Impression. The white matches the embroidery on the dress, and the gold with the shoes and my earrings!

Tomorrow I'm getting a manicure with my 2 best friends and I've already chosen the colors. I'm going to have a light pink/nude color on my finger nails (ideally Essie's Mademoiselle or High Maintenance) and then Essie's Movers and Shakers on my toes!

Besides being the prettiest person ever, Dianna Agron (from Glee) has great hair! I'm going to steal her half up/half down hairstyle! I'm going to do it myself because I've practiced it before and it worked out great, plus I'm very picky about people doing my hair for me!

Lastly, I'm going to try to do the simple eye makeup that's shown in the picture of Dianna Agron above!

The schedule of events for Monday are Pre-pre-Prom (at my house), then Pre-Prom (the picture taking/parents socializing bit), then Prom, then Post Prom (at the beach). I'm so excited! Wish me luck!!

Have a great day, y'all!!

I love Fornash!!

I have recently fallen in love with the brand Fornash! It's so cute and preppy and goes perfectly with all my Lilly!!
These also come in black and white but the pink are (of course) my favorite! The detail is so pretty, and I have to support Republican pride!

I never wear hoops, but I really like the ones shown above. There are a lot more colors offered.

So pretty!!

These remind me of larger Kate Spade colored earrings!!

These are so pretty!!

I love how the necklace shown above comes with the earrings!! I love them both!!

What do y'all like from Fornash?? Let me know!!

The earrings above are my favorite!

Earrings with Turquoise and White Topaz

Unfortunately, the jewelry is really expensive, but it's great eye candy!!

Help Me, Readers!!

Winter formal is Saturday, and since I've chosen the dress (the strapless Lilly - here's the link for the previous winter formal predicament post), it's time for the jewelry! When I tried on the dress, I felt kind of naked with just diamond/pearl studs on, so I think that I need a necklace to finish the whole look. Here are my choices:

The first choice is a very pretty necklace from Kate Spade.

The second, from J. Crew...

again, from J. Crew...

and lastly, from J. Crew. I love this but I think it's too much...

And then there's the bracelet. I'm kind of aloof about the decision about it. It's okay if it stays, it's okay if it goes. I'm also not as pale as the picture shows!

The ring is pretty much staying.

So what should I do? My mother and I are at a loss because we love all of the necklaces! I'm leaving it up to y'all!! Let me know which one y'all think I should wear!

I'm off! And...Angela Moore Jewelry

I am up at basically the crack of dawn to drive to my school in order to drive some more to go to Boston. I'm not complaining though! I'm very excited to be with my friends in (some) Lilly! I will not be able to post until Monday night, so here is a last hurrah until then!

There used to be an adorable store in Old Greenwich, CT that had Angela Moore jewelry. My mother and I stocked up, fortunately, because then the store closed! But, still, I love Angela Moore. It's cute, it's preppy, and there are so many to choose from!

Daisy Daisy CB Earrings (Green Bead) w/ Gold

Pink Grapefruit CB Earrings (Flower)

Diasy Daisy Post Earrings (Pink Bead) w/ Gold

Giraffe Baby Pink Classic Bracelet w/ Silver

Orange Crush Classic Bracelet w/ Gold

Daisy Daisy Pink/Green Classic Bracelet w/ Gold

Tennis Tales CB Earrings w/ Silver

Sea Goddess Pink/Green CB Earrings w/ Gold

I looooove all of these! Too cute! But also, very summery. I'll wait until next year!!

P.S. Today is 9/11; please say a prayer for all the honorable people who died, the families affected, and for the troops overseas currently.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!!

Monogrammed Jewelry

To continue on with my unnatural obsession with monogramming (which I've come to find is hereditary; My mother is a monogramming aficionado), I have started to fall in love with personalized jewelry. All of these items are from Preppy Monogrammed Gifts

I just really, really like this bracelet. They come in different styles (the oval part can be a square, circle, heart, etc.) and to me, it just looks classic. Yesterday in math class, I saw that one the girls in my class actually has one of these bracelets! I was very surprised to see someone with a "preppy item" at my school!

I might have to be careful with these. My earlobes are extremely small and these earrings look heavy. But they're so cute!

Lastly, here's the signet ring that I was going on about in my last post about monogramming a month ago. I have yet to get it, but I plan to! I need a replacement!

What personalized jewelry do y'all like? Any good websites? Let me know!

Kate Spade Jewelry

While Kate Spade is mostly known for their to-die-for bags, I adore their line of jewelry! I've given up on J. Crew (in all aspects), so now I've moved onto Kate. It's all very clean, pretty, and classic looking! Unfortunately, it's a bit expensive, but I enjoy a good eye-candy once and a while!

Metropolitan Pearls Necklace
They have a great supply of faux pearl necklaces!

Moon River Double Pearl and Bow Necklace
This is my favorite necklace featured on the website. I have a trillion strands of pearls in my room at home, but these are so cute!!

Park Avenue Pearl Earrings
One of my closest friends gave these to me for Christmas last year, and I wear them all the time! I like how they have (faux) pearls and diamonds on them, and they're just so pretty!!

Park Avenue Pearls Silver Bombay Ring
Love, love, love! This ring is basically the earrings before in ring form.

All Wrapped Up Bow Ring
I think this is just too cute! It's so girly!
Hit the High Spots Idiom Bangle
Take a Chance Idiom Bangle
Small Idiom Bangle
I love bangles. I have extremely tiny wrists, which is usually a good thing, but I normally can't find bangles that will stay put!
Park Avenue Pearls Charm Bracelet
I'm thinking that I really like this Park Avenue collection.

Have a good weekend, everybody! I just spent the past half and hour packing for the flight back home. I'm wearing Lilly on the plane, though!
