Packing for Jackson Hole

Tomorrow I leave for my official winter vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. My family and I always go there for summer and winter breaks. I can't wait to go because I need to rest from this crazy first half of senior year!!

I wrote down everything I needed in my favorite Lilly Pulitzer notepad so that I could stay organized. 

I already have some winter clothes in Jackson Hole that I left from years past, so thankfully I don't have to take as much!! It's going to be freezing this time of year, so I made sure to bring great items for layering and staying warm. 

I picked out my outfit to wear on the plane, as well. Since we're going to be picked up at 4:30 in the morning tomorrow (UGH), I made sure to have everything ready so I'm not frazzled in the morning. 

I packed my makeup and toiletries in my Kate Spade bag, and my jewelry in my monogrammed seersucker case. 

Of course I had to pack some headbands for the occasion...

And here is my carry on!! It's a J. McLaughlin felt tote bag from a couple of years ago that is perfect for travelling. It has a magnetic snap at the top and it's big enough to carry everything I need, but it's not huge and bulky. I don't even have that much that I'm bringing on the plane anyway; just my Apple products (iPad, iPod, laptop (I'm a nerd)), sunglasses, lipgloss, my devil of a Blackberry and my planner. It's also important not to forget chargers!! I'd be lost without them!!

Update: College Week

Dear Lord I'm going to have a heart attack sometime this week because I'm finally hearing back from colleges!! Early decision/early action responses are sent and my entire class is dying. Everyone is freaking out and I can't handle it!! There have been so many good acceptances but the rejections for my friends are heartbreaking!! There are not that many people in my grade but everyone still applied early to at least 1 school!! I'M SO NERVOUS!!

Most people find out online, but there are still some schools that send letters. I hear back from 2 schools this week (1 EA, 1 ED) and my family and I legitimately can't breathe whenever we get the mail. Goodness gracious, pray that I make it through this week!

Thank goodness that this is also the last week before Christmas break. All of the seniors have decorations in our hallway and I can't wait to decorate it! Tomorrow I have a big Christmas concert at a church not too far away with my school's A Capella singing group, so I'm really excited about that. On Monday I have a Christmas party with my advisory group (a small group of students from the high school who meet with a teacher during lunch on Monday's), and Tuesday I have a Mexican Fiesta themed senior lunch. Thursday is D-Day because of college-decision-reasons, and Friday is the best day of the week! It's a free dress day, so everyone wears Christmas-y themed outfits! There's also a big assembly with the upper and middle school where all the seniors sit on our stage and our theater teacher reads "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with our head of school. Then we sing "The 12 Days of Christmas" with the 6 grades singing different parts!! It's so much fun and I can't believe I'm going to be one of the students sitting on stage!! My senior year is already 1/2 way over!!!

Also, for the first time in forever, I'm not leaving for Jackson Hole once school gets out! Now my family and I have a couple of days to relax and then head over to ski and celebrate Christmas! What are y'all doing for Christmas Break?

Jackson Hole!!

I am very, very tired because this morning I had to wake up at the crack of dawn to catch a plane to Jackson Hole. My family and I spend every summer here. I just can't believe that it was a year since I was sitting in my bedroom here and making this blog!! Time flies!

On the plane here I watched my favorite movie of all time, Legally Blonde. It makes me so excited for sorority life (only 1 more year!!!)!

Now it's time for my favorite summer workouts and diets!! I have so much free time that I get to work out as long as I want and whenever I want! Can't wait to get toned for senior pictures and senior year!!

Now I'm going to take 2 large Tylenol PM and catch up on sleep!! Hope y'all had a fantastic day!!

Spring Break

It's finally Spring Break! Since noon, I have been relaxing in Jackson Hole for week 1 of my spring break!! My school has 2 weeks vacation, and I'm so excited! The first week I'll be in Jackson, and the second week I'll be with my mom for a little sun time in Arizona! There has been so much snow this winter that we just have to get a little Vitamin D (...and a tan). We've had some trouble thinking of how we're going to pack for 2 polar opposite climates, but hopefully we'll find a solution.

Jackson Hole

These boots are my lifesaver in the snow. They're really soft and warm, and so comfortable!! They're kind of my substitute for the original bean boots.

I pretty much end up "borrowing" my brother and my dad's huge winter sweaters.
