How Getting Relief From Soothing Creams After Laser Hair Removal?

Just got home from a laser hair removal session and feeling all uncomfortable with that mild "sunburn" on your skin? Or you are simply weeks away, waiting for your schedule and feeling all worried about the expected reddening and swelling after the procedure? Well, you better be acquainted of creams expected to give you the relief from your worries and those side effects which keep you uneasy.

Usually after a hair removal session using laser technology, redness and swelling occur. Irritation happens due to the fact that heat energy is directly emitted to the dermal layers of the skin which causes the area to appear a little puffy or swollen, particularly on the areas around the hair follicles. The areas around the hair follicles are affected since Melanin, the target of the laser beams, are abundant in this spot. These side effects normally disappear ranging from a recovery period of just hours to a number of days, depending on the area treated, and these may vary from just simple reactions such as reddening to slight swelling, to compound sensations or side effects such as burning sensations and blistering. Take note, that for cases having severe skin irritation characterized by the presence of blisters and severe burning sensation, please do report to your laser clinic or submit yourself to your doctor for prompt management of the complications.

After the treatment, or even before you have started your treatment, you are taught and then re-oriented on how to take care of your skin after undergoing laser hair removal in order to avoid further irritation. It should be that you take good care of the area after the procedure since this procedure does not require of you a prolonged stay at a recovery unit. Aside from avoiding the hair-removing rituals of shaving, plucking and waxing, and regularly performing the routine washing of the area with the use of mild cleansers, comforting creams may also be utilized as it can be of help in the repair of the skin. Lotions, for this matter, are usually prescribed. There are a variety of emollients or creams in the market. Some have petroleum jelly, some have aloe components, and some are composed of zinc oxide which is a substance used to relieve burns. Others may be added with vitamin E for rejuvenation of damaged dermal cells, and hydrating components to keep the skin moisturized as it had undergone intense exposure to heat energy.

Some Beauty Tips for The Mature Traveler

Why do you always look like you haven't slept for days and your skin is a mess and your hair is greasy. With a little planning this doesn't have to happen. You've passed the age where you can jump out of bed ready to go. I think that's anyone over 12.

First, think about how you're going to be spending your vacation. Will it be in a dry, desert type climate such as Palm Springs? Will be in the mountains, or on a sunny beach. Or will you be traveling across time zones rather than staying in one spot. By this point in your life, you know how your skin is going to react and what products you need to pack for your trip specifically for your type of skin.

Most importantly while traveling, stay hydrated. Drink your full quote of water. Not only will your skin look picture perfect but it will provide oxygen to your brain so you stay alert and enjoy yourself. The day before you leave, drink 8 glasses of water and avoid dehydrating substances such as caffeine and alcohol Don't forget your face, a very important step to keeping your skin hydrated is using a moisturizer.

You also have to consider how much space you will have in your suitcase for your toiletries so it really works well if you bring products with multiple uses. A blush that you can use as a lip tint or eye shadow or a facial cleanser that can also be used as a toner and moisturizer.

You leave the house looking fantastic but after a long, dry plane ride your make up really doesn't look that great. For plane trips longer than 2 hours, it is best to wait and apply your make up at your destination. That is especially true if you're e taking a long car trip. If you just can't go without make up, try using powder products rather than liquid because powder not only gives you coverage it also has SPF protection and can absorb excess oil. But have a light hand, you don't want the powder to settle into wrinkles, exaggerating them. Just a little touch-up upon landing or arrival at your location and you're ready to go.

Jetlag is a problem when crossing time zones and having your sleep schedule interrupted does a number on your face. You know, of course, you look better when you're well rested. If you're traveling to a different time zone, eschew caffeine after 2 p.m., local time and stay hydrated and you can reduce jetlag.

Check with TSA for their guidelines as to what you can bring on the plane. You don't want them to confiscate all your toiletries and have to replace them in a strange area. A little forethought will save you hours of aggravation.

Pack a hand sanitizer for times when you don't have access to clean sinks and soap. And always, ALWAYS thoroughly wash your hands before applying makeup or even touching your face. It will keep your skin clear and you healthy on your vacation. Having a breakout on your vacation is a real fun killer and breakouts happen at any age.

Wear sunscreen even on the plane especially if you have a window seat. The higher you go the more intense the UV rays are. Use products with SPF included for convenience.

Prom 2012 Make Up Trends

It's that time of the year again. A time where everyone is all dressed to the nines and enjoying the best part of high school. Prom is one of the most anticipated events in a teen's life. A lot of girl's are probably preparing months in advance for the big night. To help you with your  vast number of choices, here are some make up trends that you can try out.

PROM 2012 MAKE UP TRENDS

1. Smokey Eyes

This eye makeup gives a sexy and seductive look that is perfect during the night time. This year, try to give a new twist to the smokey eye by extending it a little bit to create a winged liner effect. If you want to tone down the color, opt for neutral colors such as brown or gray. You can also use metallic shades and even green and purple hues.

2. Innocent Pinks

Complement a smokey eye or create a delicate looking make up by choosing soft and flirty lipsticks. This will bring in fun and romance to your whole entire look.

3. Sultry Reds

If you prefer to highlight your lips instead of eyes, use a bright red shade on your lips. Apply a more neutral look to your eyes because mixing a smokey eye with a bold lip will just make everything look tacky. For a different twist, choose one with an orange tint. Just make sure that it complements the color of your dress.

4. Don't Be Too Matchy

A great trend for prom this year is to use colors that aren't too matchy with the dress. For example, if you are wearing a purple dress, try to use a metallic gold or silver on your eyes. If you have a green dress, try to play with brown colors. Just make sure to keep everything simple so that it won't look to over the top.

5. Strategic Shimmers

Give that beautiful glow on your face by applying some shimmer. Try to apply a shimmer color on the inner corners of your eyes, the bridge of your nose, the tops of your cheeks and a little bit on your chin. The light will hit these areas beautifully. Just make sure that you have blended everything well.

What Kind Of Grey Hair Dye Is Ideal For Your Situation?

Things you should look out for with a grey hair dye relies on your hair style. Currently it's not properly established how to stop grey hair yet. In case you opt to cover up greys you will require grey hair treatment comprising of different kinds of hair dye colours. When you are deciding upon your hair colour you'll need to bear different issues in mind. First, select your colour by taking into account your skin colour and natural hair. For people new to hair colouring you will likely wish to commence with something stable and related to your unique tint. Utilize a hair colour chart to consider something that will enhance your existing look.

Newer people to colour hair products need to begin with semi-stable chemical dyes. The advantages from this colorant are that grey hair is going to come back gently. The cleansing practice supports a slow transition from coloured hair back to subtle greys. In case that you want to find a more impacting and sustained grey hair remedy try long-term technologies. This is suitable for anyone with a large percentage of greying hair coverage. The colouring could stick around within cuticles over at minimum a few weeks using constant cleansing. The usage of hair colour shampoos will definitely aid in defending colour. The downside with long-lasting chemical dyes is that greys return clearly throughout the hair line. This demands a root touch up using a comb applicator. Likewise take notice that a lot of colourings tend to be vulnerable to fading away more immediately compared with others. Red hair color is acknowledged to generally be the worst at staying in hair.

An advanced method that highly trained people toy with is highlighting hair. This can be something that is best left for a stylist. Highlights enable you to stick out and give the hairstyle greater structure. Be wary not to ever overdo this technique as too much highlighting probably will start looking artificial. Every time you are making use of dyes don't forget to use appropriate health care techniques to keep up moisture content in hair follicles. Chemical substances, particularly with lightening, can be extremely severe and too much is able to lead to weak hair follicles and untimely hair loss.

How to Apply Women's Fragrances and Perfumes?

There is a right and a wrong way to apply perfume, and women usually wear perfume when they want to be embraced, as perfume is most definitely a weapon of seduction. By applying perfume to strategic points such as the inside of the wrist, behind the ears and in the nape of the neck will make all the different, and you will most definitely get a reaction from men. To give yourself a light aura you can spray a little on your clothing. Perfume should be subtle, whereby you can just smell it, as too much perfume can make one feel nauseous as well as others around you. There is nothing worse than walking into a room or getting into a lift, where you become overwhelmed and sickened by someone's perfume.

All you need is a few sprays, which will keep you smelling beautiful the whole day, however, cheap perfume does not last as long as the genuine article, which means you, may have to spray these types of womens fragrances and perfumes a lot more frequently. Perfumes are not tolerant of temperature change, heat or light, and need to be kept in a dry cool place in order to maintain the fragrance. Once a perfume is opened the fragrance can become altered, and if well maintained the perfume will last for around five years. Perfume bottles that have not been opened will last for many years. Depending on the perfume, the color may change after a couple of years. When choosing a perfume, make sure it matches your personality by testing it properly. Choose either an eau de parfum or an eau de toilette, apply the perfume properly and maintain the perfume correctly. By following these simple steps your perfume will become a true signature and will last for years. Also remember that heat releases the perfumes fragrance, so if you live in a hot climate do not use an excess of perfume at a time and only apply it to the given points. One should only be able to smell your perfume in passing.

Like the skin, certain fabrics will release the smell of perfume in different ways, so first test the perfume on your clothing. For example synthetic fabrics produce a harsh and quick smell, whereas cotton and other natural fabrics release slow and subtle fragrances. You can spray perfumed products on jacket lapels, scarves and hems to give your clothing your own signature fragrance. However, perfume can leave permanent stains on your garments. Avoid using different perfumes on your garments as the fragrances could clash. If you make use of many different perfumes, avoid spraying these on your clothes and only spray them onto your skin.

Micro Ring Hair Extensions

For many months I have admired micro ring hair extensions and longed to have them put in my thin hair. I pictured myself as one of the models and could not wait until I had enough money to do just that. But the more serious side of me told me to be cautious so I began to read about the problems associated with hair extensions.

At first the decision to have the micro ring hair extensions put in was based on two questions:

· Can I remove them without a problem?

· Will I get a disease from them?

For the first question I turned to my stylist and asked her. The first thing that she told me was that she was a certified micro ring hair extensions stylist and would be happy to remove them if I was not happy. Also she assured me that anything with hair can be undone as it always grows back. My concern was what to do in the meantime.

Naturally my stylist told me to come into her shop to ask these and other questions. Since I had made the decision to have them put in I went to the shop and then boy was I surprised as the stylist looked over my hair. Come to find out that I was not a candidate for micro ring extensions. These were the reasons that my stylist gave to me:

· My hair is too short. It must be over four inches long for the microring hair extensions since mine was only three inches the so these extensions would not blended into the other hair too well. He advised to have hair at least five inches long to apply this technique.

· Being oily. The stylist said that oily hair does not do well with extensions. The micro ring hair extensions do not last very long in oily hair because it has to be washed more often and it just losses its style quicker.

Being very disappointed I went on to a new look until my hair would grow longer and then he had some other micro ring hair extensions ideas for the oily hair. My stylist gave me some other hints to prepare better for such extensions:

· Do not dye your hair in the time from when the micro ring extensions are ordered and the time that they are put in. you must dye your hair in the meantime because of the roots growing in a different color take a strand of the ordered extensions to your colorists to match the color exactly.

· Order extensions as it is normal to lose some strands. If you order extra the stylists can replace the damaged ones.

· You should not get a disease from the micro ring extensions. Those extensions that are ordered should be guaranteed and free of all diseases. Hair disease such as lice and the like do not present themselves on micro ring hair extensions because they are not living organism. But if you have problems go to the stylist immediately.

Best Product for Curly Hair

There are hundreds of haircare brands out there vying for our attention. Before we part with our money, let's have a look at what makes a shampoo great. Can a shampoo be one of the best products for curly hair?

Haircare products for dry, brittle hair are formulated to combat frizz and dryness and to manage curls in a way that makes hair look lustrous and full-bodied. If a shampoo can do that for you, especially with natural ingredients, you may have found the perfect shampoo to tame frizz.

When looking for the best haircare products, be it the best shampoo, the best conditioner, or the best cream or gel, understanding why you have a specific hair type may help. Have you ever wondered why some people have straight hair and some don't? There are different theories out there and no one seems to know for sure.

A popular theory posited by some experts is that the shape of our hair follicles affects the shape of our hair shaft, which in turn determines whether we have curly or straight hair. There might be some truth to this because if you look at hair under a microscope, straight hair is usually roundish whereas curly hair is more oval. So the shape of hair follicles can be what determines hair type.

Another group of experts propose a different explanation. They contend that genetic predispositions have more to do with it. So if your parents have a specific hair type, be it curly or straight, you're more likely to have that hair type as well. There's yet another explanation. This one suggests that the number of disulfide bonds between hair shaft and hair proteins is what determines whether a person has curly or straight hair.

In your search for the best product for curly hair, remember this: a good shampoo should have mainly organic ingredients. That is, the less harsh chemicals, the better. If you're already struggling with dryness and brittleness, the last thing you need to torture your curls with is chemicals that can exacerbate the frizz. No wonder the best styling products are packed with natural nutrients that hydrate and replenish dry, frizzy hair with natural, organic compounds. So look for shampoos with natural compounds and organic extracts as the active ingredients.

For a 'made for curly hair' shampoo to be great, it has to work its magic on dry, frizzy and brittle hair. If you can find your personal favorite, your best shampoo for curly hair--that special product that cleanses and manages your hair like no other--you'll have beautiful curls for the rest of your life.
