Cute new fall buys!!

Hello!! I hope y'all are having a great September so far!! I have been getting busier because of college stuff (post to come later this week!), extracurriculars, and schoolwork, but I'm not crazy stressed yet (thank goodness!!). Last week was great, regardless of the fact that it was the first full week of school, but because Connecticut started to turn into chilly fall weather!! Finally!! The humidity here was so annoying (I was getting so aggravated at my hair looking so bad all of the time) and the new fall clothes are so tempting!! Here are my new purchases for fall!!

Rugby Classic Crewneck Cable-Knit
J. Crew Classic Leather Ballet Flat

J. Crew Leather Tipped Bell Skirt in Beige

J. Crew Perfect Shirt in Blackwatch plaid

Lilly Pulitzer Cassie Slub
What have y'all bought for fall? Let me know!!

Have a great day!!

Preppy Fall Essentials

Here are my preppy fall essentials!!

Cableknit Sweaters

Rugby Classic Crewneck Cable-Knit
I live in sweaters in the fall, and my favorites are all definitely cable-knit!!! I have the sweater above in yellow and I love it.

Riding Boots

Kimchi Blue Tall Lace-Up Equestrian Boot (from Urban Outfitters)
I think I have at least 4 pair of equestrian inspired boots and I'm obsessed. I love the boots above!! Riding boots go perfectly with everything in fall.

Classically Preppy Footwear

LL Bean Boot
Bean boots. What can I say about bean boots...they are one of the most classically preppy items ever. I am ashamed to admit that I do not own the classic L.L. Bean masterpieces (yet), but fret not! I'm going to get them this fall. After last year's ridiculous amount of snow in Connecticut and my lack of snow boots (my sherling line bean boots are in Jackson Hole year round), I have to be prepared!

Oxford Button Down

Ralph Lauren Megan Solid Oxford Shirt
The oxford shirt is a classic preppy staple year-round, but I find that I wear them more in the colder months. They are perfectly paired with crewneck and v-neck sweaters, as well as cardigans and khakis.

The Striped Rugby

Brooks Brothers Striped Rugby
Striped rugby's are great casual shirts for fall. They're thick, comfortable, and great for menswear inspired outfits. I've only gotten rugby's from Rugby Ralph Lauren, so I don't know how the Brooks Brothers' design that's shown above fits. The colors are great for fall!

The LBD

Rugby Nestor Wool Crepe U-Back Dress
I love this LBD from Rugby!!  It's very classic looking and flattering!

The Hacking Jacket

Rugby Suede-Patch Hacking Jacket
I have the jacket above in purple, and I love it. I try to pair it with jeans so that I don't completely look like a mom!! It's a great item for fall!

The Perfect Vest

Rugby Alastair Down Vest
I'm (obviously) really loving Rugby this fall!! Usually my brother is the one wearing the "youthful prep" inspired designs from Rugby and I'm perfectly content in Lilly, but they have great classic items for fall. This vest is great and I love the hunting patch on the shoulder!!

The Norwegian Sweater

L.L. Bean Norwegian Sweater
My favorite sweater in the entire world is the Norwegian Sweater from L.L. Bean. I got one last year for fall and I couldn't get enough of it. I wore it all the time. I got a men's small (which was still big on me) and I cannot wait until this fall so I can wear it more!!

The Coat (or Cape!)

Rugby Brayton Duffle Cape
I am not a fan of capes. Not really, anyway. I never expected to like this Rugby cape, but I really, really do!! It doesn't look like a traditional "cape". It doesn't look like Dracula should wear it, and it looks more like a classic camel coat with weird sleeves!!

Khakis

J. Crew Classic Café Capri
I am on the hunt for the perfect khaki. I have tried Vineyard Vines, but they were too baggy, and I have always seen these J. Crew Café Capri khakis on their website. I am definitely going to find these in one of the 4 J. Crew stores around me in CT and try them on!!

Jeans

J. Crew Ankle Stretch Toothpick Jean
I am also on the hunt for the perfect jean. I legitimately have the hardest time ever finding jeans. I am determined to find good ones this year!! The goal is to find jeans that keep their shape and that are skinny in the knee and calf so that I can tuck them into boots.

What are y'alls preppy fall essentials? Let me know!!

Have a fabulous day!!

Fall/Winter Ralph Lauren

Even though I am a true Lilly girl at heart, Ralph Lauren has been an obsession of mine since basically! forever. Here are some pretty items for fall from RL!

Slim Fit Suede Patch Shirt
Slim Millbrook Western Shirt

Ralph is definitely the go-to store for plaid shirts. They're always adorable and extremely comfortable, but be warned; they run very small.

Hand Knit Wool Cable Sweater
Regardless of the fact that I pretty much fall in love with all turtlenecks, this is SO PRETTY! It's the ideal winter white sweater! It reminds me of some kind of preppy-ski sweater.

Hand Knit Wool Zip Cardigan
This is the turtleneck sweater in black and in zip cardigan form!

Suede Patch Stretch Jodhpur
I used to horseback ride, and I definitely dabble in the equestrian look when I can! These jodhpurs are so cute!

What things do y'all like from RL? Let me know!

The Stable Skirt

I admit, I usually never go into Anthropologie. It's not really my kind of style, but then I saw the Stable Skirt. I was buying a birthday present for my best friend and I found this beauty.

I am in love with it. It's a perfect length for a pencil skirt, there are so many colors you could wear with it (White, Dark Green, Navy, Red...etc....) and it's just so dang cute! It is perfect for my "Fall/Winter Style" !

Have a great weekend, y'all!

2 of My Favorite Sweaters

Since it's moving into the colder months, it's time to stock up on sweaters!! I love the sweaters from Lilly Pulitzer. My two favorites are the Crissy Sweater (from the Spring/Summer collection) and the Caroline Cardigan.

This is the Caroline Cardigan. It fits perfectly and it has such cute colors! It's essentially the same cardigan as the one that was available for the Spring/Summer collection (I don't remember its name...), but with colors more apt for fall.

The Crissy Sweater! I love it! I also have it in white (which I wore for my school picture day!). It fits perfectly and the colors are perfect. I have yet to try the Gloria Cable Sweater that's available now, but my mother has it!

What sweaters are y'alls favorites? Let me know!

Love!

Yuko Jersey Taffeta Dress

I have fallen in love with a Lauren Ralph Lauren dress. It’s black, it’s gorgeous, and perfect for fall. Now I admit, I never usually wear anything dark (especially black) unless it’s navy, but I love, love, love this dress. It looks very retro and adorable, and it’s my new Fall Must Have!

Saturday's!

Every weekend, my mother and I have “mother-daughter” Saturday’s, where we usually go shopping around our area. A couple Saturday's ago we spent 6 hours out and about, and ended up finding the cutest skirt I have ever seen!

It was from last years Vineyard Vines collection, and I fell in love when I saw it. The day before, we were in Vineyard Vines to find something for my brother when I saw a little navy corduroy dress with pink and green whales on it. I told my mom that I wish that they had it in “big girl sizes”, but we had no luck. Instead we found the skirt the next day! The beauty was on the sale rack, and it was 75% off! How much better could you get!?!?

Then, this Saturday, we took our annual trip to NYC!

This is what I wore...

And this is what we bought! Now, I didn't exactly get the sweater above. It's the same color, but it's a cable knit cardigan. I physically cannot find the sweater ANYWHERE on the internet!

Anyway, my mom got these two adorable Lilly dresses! We visited the Lilly store on Madison Avenue, and I want to live there. I'm completely serious!

Have a great day!

xoxo, Hannah
