How Getting Relief From Soothing Creams After Laser Hair Removal?

Just got home from a laser hair removal session and feeling all uncomfortable with that mild "sunburn" on your skin? Or you are simply weeks away, waiting for your schedule and feeling all worried about the expected reddening and swelling after the procedure? Well, you better be acquainted of creams expected to give you the relief from your worries and those side effects which keep you uneasy.

Usually after a hair removal session using laser technology, redness and swelling occur. Irritation happens due to the fact that heat energy is directly emitted to the dermal layers of the skin which causes the area to appear a little puffy or swollen, particularly on the areas around the hair follicles. The areas around the hair follicles are affected since Melanin, the target of the laser beams, are abundant in this spot. These side effects normally disappear ranging from a recovery period of just hours to a number of days, depending on the area treated, and these may vary from just simple reactions such as reddening to slight swelling, to compound sensations or side effects such as burning sensations and blistering. Take note, that for cases having severe skin irritation characterized by the presence of blisters and severe burning sensation, please do report to your laser clinic or submit yourself to your doctor for prompt management of the complications.

After the treatment, or even before you have started your treatment, you are taught and then re-oriented on how to take care of your skin after undergoing laser hair removal in order to avoid further irritation. It should be that you take good care of the area after the procedure since this procedure does not require of you a prolonged stay at a recovery unit. Aside from avoiding the hair-removing rituals of shaving, plucking and waxing, and regularly performing the routine washing of the area with the use of mild cleansers, comforting creams may also be utilized as it can be of help in the repair of the skin. Lotions, for this matter, are usually prescribed. There are a variety of emollients or creams in the market. Some have petroleum jelly, some have aloe components, and some are composed of zinc oxide which is a substance used to relieve burns. Others may be added with vitamin E for rejuvenation of damaged dermal cells, and hydrating components to keep the skin moisturized as it had undergone intense exposure to heat energy.

Prom 2012 Make Up Trends

It's that time of the year again. A time where everyone is all dressed to the nines and enjoying the best part of high school. Prom is one of the most anticipated events in a teen's life. A lot of girl's are probably preparing months in advance for the big night. To help you with your  vast number of choices, here are some make up trends that you can try out.

PROM 2012 MAKE UP TRENDS

1. Smokey Eyes

This eye makeup gives a sexy and seductive look that is perfect during the night time. This year, try to give a new twist to the smokey eye by extending it a little bit to create a winged liner effect. If you want to tone down the color, opt for neutral colors such as brown or gray. You can also use metallic shades and even green and purple hues.

2. Innocent Pinks

Complement a smokey eye or create a delicate looking make up by choosing soft and flirty lipsticks. This will bring in fun and romance to your whole entire look.

3. Sultry Reds

If you prefer to highlight your lips instead of eyes, use a bright red shade on your lips. Apply a more neutral look to your eyes because mixing a smokey eye with a bold lip will just make everything look tacky. For a different twist, choose one with an orange tint. Just make sure that it complements the color of your dress.

4. Don't Be Too Matchy

A great trend for prom this year is to use colors that aren't too matchy with the dress. For example, if you are wearing a purple dress, try to use a metallic gold or silver on your eyes. If you have a green dress, try to play with brown colors. Just make sure to keep everything simple so that it won't look to over the top.

5. Strategic Shimmers

Give that beautiful glow on your face by applying some shimmer. Try to apply a shimmer color on the inner corners of your eyes, the bridge of your nose, the tops of your cheeks and a little bit on your chin. The light will hit these areas beautifully. Just make sure that you have blended everything well.

What Kind Of Grey Hair Dye Is Ideal For Your Situation?

Things you should look out for with a grey hair dye relies on your hair style. Currently it's not properly established how to stop grey hair yet. In case you opt to cover up greys you will require grey hair treatment comprising of different kinds of hair dye colours. When you are deciding upon your hair colour you'll need to bear different issues in mind. First, select your colour by taking into account your skin colour and natural hair. For people new to hair colouring you will likely wish to commence with something stable and related to your unique tint. Utilize a hair colour chart to consider something that will enhance your existing look.

Newer people to colour hair products need to begin with semi-stable chemical dyes. The advantages from this colorant are that grey hair is going to come back gently. The cleansing practice supports a slow transition from coloured hair back to subtle greys. In case that you want to find a more impacting and sustained grey hair remedy try long-term technologies. This is suitable for anyone with a large percentage of greying hair coverage. The colouring could stick around within cuticles over at minimum a few weeks using constant cleansing. The usage of hair colour shampoos will definitely aid in defending colour. The downside with long-lasting chemical dyes is that greys return clearly throughout the hair line. This demands a root touch up using a comb applicator. Likewise take notice that a lot of colourings tend to be vulnerable to fading away more immediately compared with others. Red hair color is acknowledged to generally be the worst at staying in hair.

An advanced method that highly trained people toy with is highlighting hair. This can be something that is best left for a stylist. Highlights enable you to stick out and give the hairstyle greater structure. Be wary not to ever overdo this technique as too much highlighting probably will start looking artificial. Every time you are making use of dyes don't forget to use appropriate health care techniques to keep up moisture content in hair follicles. Chemical substances, particularly with lightening, can be extremely severe and too much is able to lead to weak hair follicles and untimely hair loss.

Clip in Hair Extensions are probably the easiest, fastest and safest way to add length, color and or volume to your hair with little or no chance for causing any damage to it. This can be a marvelous alternative to more permanent types of hair extensions. In just a few minutes you can clip in extensions and add totally new dimensions of glamour to your appearance. Plus it has the added appeal of being relatively inexpensive which is always appealing.

These extensions, which are virtually undetectable, enable you to go from short hair to long or long hair to short with no need to cut your real hair. You can add or change the color or texture, volume and or length easily in minutes simply by clipping on these hair extensions. This is a very simple and easy way to create beautiful hair and fabulous new styles.

The Clip in extensions generally consist of one contoured multi-level piece which is used to create a very fashionable new easy style without the usual troubles associated of having to work with several separate wefts.

You can choose from a wide array of types and products all designed to suit the customer's individual needs. You may pick synthetic clip in hair extensions available in either straight or wavy style to match your current style. Clip In Hair Extensions are also available in 100% real human hair. Remy Hair Extensions

No matter what age group you belong to, wishes are always with to waiting for their accomplishments. Every individual on this earth has some wishes and they go on increasing with the passage of time, women particularly are notorious in this regard. They are the creatures always supposed to be dissatisfied whatever they have. They are always found in looking and desiring for more than they have.

Hair is the most prominent entity of human personality and women love to adore themselves and in order to fulfill their wishes, they go to every extreme. They are the creatures on the earth who want to keep themselves up to the fashion and for this purpose; sometimes they cut their hair short and sometimes increase its length.

There are some irreparable loss too, that apparently can never be amended. Women apply different chemicals on their hair for making them more beautiful, sometime for curling them and sometime for straightening. They have a craze for colouring them as well and by doing so they damage them and lose whatever they have.

Hair extensions become a blessing for those ladies who lose their valuable hair all by themselves. There are certain cases where people lose hair due to disease like as a result of chemotherapy patient loses them.
There are two types of materials used for the making of such extensions, Remy where natural hair is used and the other one is synthetic that uses artificial material.

Remy Human Hair is the utmost grade of real human hair that is an ideal choice for wigs, and hairpieces because it gets the most natural look.

What does Remy Hair mean?

Remy hair is considered as the best and finest quality of human hair as in them cuticles are kept intact and are not stripped like non Remy hair extension. Preservation of the hairs' cuticles and alignment of them in a unidirectional fashion becomes the reason of the creation of such extensions that are completely natural in look and appearance. This process guarantees that the hair remains shiny, super soft, silky and completely tangle-free throughout its lifetime.

Tip Hair Extension Training

Hair Extension Training is important to learn how to apply the different techniques of hair extensions. Many salons are now offering training and certificate programs as a part of their salon, but what should you do if there are no salons in your area and you wish to be certified to perform hair extensions?

The answer is to take the courses online. The distance learning or online courses have several advantages over the courses at a local salon in that:

• You are usually taught by a highly skilled artist who comes highly qualified to give instruction.

• The online Training can be done in the comfort of your own home and in your own time frame. If you are working at a salon during the day you can use your evenings to work on your course development.

• Online courses use your own models in your own shop. This is a great advantage over having to go to a school building. Having to attend a school is an expense and lacks the comfort of your own facilities.

• Your models are accustomed to your techniques and will continue to have you work on them in the future. This will help build your business and spread the word that you are now certified by a Hair Extension Training program.

• By taking on online course you will find that you will receive a certificate just as you would if you were to pay a larger amount of money for a brick and mortar school.

• You will be able to choose your instructor in an online course because all of them have promotional video so that you can hear their voices and their level of instruction before paying for the Hair Extension Training program. In a brick and mortar school you will have to accept whatever teacher is working for the company and not necessarily have any choices as you would online.

• Most people learn better at their own pace and learning online will help you to be able to pace yourself during the course.

How Human Hair Extensions?

Are you perhaps tired of throwing away your hard earned money on hair extensions that tangle, shed, are overly expensive and don't last? If you have tried the other solutions in attempts to have the full luxurious head of hair you desire then maybe your expectations will be met and exceeded by using Human Hair Extensions.

Luxurious and of rarely paralleled beauty these products generally offer high quality at a level that sets them apart from other extension products. If you have hair that is too short for your current taste and style or simply want to fill out thinning hair a vast array of types, colors and styles are available to satisfy the most demanding needs.

Human Hair Extensions come in styles of both straight and wavy. This means you can style it just like your own hair. These extensions could be sewn, bonded, glued, or braided right into your own natural lot. These are the safest and easiest way to add volume, length, or a wide variety of colors without causing damage to your own hair, all great reasons to buy them.

Whether you are shopping for the clip in type of hair extensions, the weaving in type, weft hair for braided in extensions, fusion extensions, tape on or the pre-tipped types you will be able to find an extensive variety of whatever you desire

One of the best features of this type of hair extension is the ability to use color enhancements, blow dryers, curling irons, rollers, and even regular flat irons to expand your styling options. These extensions are made of high quality 100% human hair which makes the hair virtually tangle free needing no tedious combing out.

The best of these extensions use the very best virgin hair making sure the cuticles are all aligned in the same direction. They also utilize the most expensive processing techniques with all natural ingredients and no harsh acids. The wefting is tightly sewn for less shedding. This results in what is considered the most beautiful, longest lasting hair extensions available on the market anywhere. Of course this is all done to ensure the maximum pleasure with the result and no surprises or disappointments.

How I Style my Hair

I just got a post request on how I fix my hair, so here it goes!

First I wash my hair with John Frieda Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo and conditioner. I started using it about a month ago and I love it!

The hair products I use are
  1. Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother
  2. Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Leave-In Conditioning Spray
  3. Fekkai Silky Straight Ironless Smooth Finish Serum or Frizz Ease 100% Shine Glossing Mist
I usually blow dry my hair before I go to bed, and then depending on how my hair turns out, I will straighten my hair and then curl the ends or just curl the ends. I use 1.5" curling iron, and I curl the ends horizontally, alternating between curling under and over. My hair is super thick and holds a curl well, so I can sleep on the curls and in the morning they're still in tact and a bit more natural!

This is the best example of how my hair looks on a daily basis!

Do y'all have any other questions? Let me know! I love getting post requests from people, so leave a comment or email me at thepinkandgreenprep@gmail.com !!

Have a great day! There's a ton of snow here in CT but it looks like it's melting already! My best friends don't have power, but thankfully we do. I'm spending the day watching The Blind Side and doing homework! What about y'all?

Back to my roots (literally)...

I have had many trials and tribulations concerning my hair, and finally, I think I'm done with the drama that is my hair.

As you can see, when I was little I had very blonde, preppy, girly, cute hair. Perfect for then but then the colored changed...

...into this. Blonde but not brown but kind of a mix. This was when I was 14 (when I had awful bangs but you can't really tell in this picture because they're pulled back by a headband).

This picture is from July of this year (when I was 17). It was perfectly blonde and the length was getting better (I'm trying to grow it super long) and it was PERFECT but then disaster struck...

Yesterday I went to the hair salon to get my natural color back, through right now it's a bit darker than how it used to be. The initial shock has worn off but I'm still not used to seeing my somewhat "natural" hair color again. I saw my best friend last night and she said that she really liked it, but I'm so not used to it! I feel so serious now with my new-found dark hair!

What do y'all think? Let me know!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Elle Woods' Hair

Legally Blonde, my favorite movie in the entire world, was on TBS last night and I couldn't help but obsess over Elle Woods' hair. It's perfect. It's long, blonde, with just the right amount of layers. It's my goal hair.

So close!! Just a couple more inches left to grow!

I hope y'all have a great Sunday!! I'm going hiking with my mom and brother for the 3rd time this week. It's always funny and a great workout!!

Prom!!!

Prom is on Monday and I absolutely cannot wait. I wish I could post the video of my date asking me to prom but it has my last name in it (and I would rather not give that out!). But, regardless of the date, I'm so excited for getting ready!! For the past month I have been working out religiously and diligently every afternoon at the gym, and it's definitely paid off! Now the sun is out, and I've been working on my tan (so I don't have to go to a tanning bed or get a spray tan). The best part is that the academic part of school finally ended yesterday (my last exam was yesterday), and now everything is about prom, prom, prom!!

I'm having 7 girls come over on Monday afternoon to get ready for prom. Most of them are getting their hair done professionally but we're still going to do our makeup and get dressed and have so much fun! I'm doing my best friends hair and makeup, so wish me luck! Also, I'm trying to think of a cute, girly movie to put on while we're getting ready -- any thoughts? Let me know!

I finally chose a dress, and it's the Lilly Pulitzer Jacqueline Dress Embroidered in Hotty Pink. It fits perfectly and it's short and PINK! I feel like a Barbie doll in it! The embroidery on the top and bottom is so pretty!! Did I mention it's hot pink!?!?

Next are the shoes. Staying true to the Lilly girl that I am, I'm wearing the LP Swingin' on a Star Heels. They're 3 inches (which is good because then I'm still shorter than my date!) and the gold goes perfectly with the dress. I actually have to walk around in them all weekend because I am not very coordinated at walking in heels!! I hardly wear them so I have to become an expert by Monday afternoon!

This is not a very good picture (as it was taken on my phone), but these are the earrings I'm wearing. When my mom and I went to get the boutonniere for my date, there was a TON of adorable jewelry at the florist. My mom and I each got a pair, and they were from local jeweler Trudy Selib.

The clutch I'm bringing is the LP Shell Shocked Clutch in Classic White First Impression. The white matches the embroidery on the dress, and the gold with the shoes and my earrings!

Tomorrow I'm getting a manicure with my 2 best friends and I've already chosen the colors. I'm going to have a light pink/nude color on my finger nails (ideally Essie's Mademoiselle or High Maintenance) and then Essie's Movers and Shakers on my toes!

Besides being the prettiest person ever, Dianna Agron (from Glee) has great hair! I'm going to steal her half up/half down hairstyle! I'm going to do it myself because I've practiced it before and it worked out great, plus I'm very picky about people doing my hair for me!

Lastly, I'm going to try to do the simple eye makeup that's shown in the picture of Dianna Agron above!

The schedule of events for Monday are Pre-pre-Prom (at my house), then Pre-Prom (the picture taking/parents socializing bit), then Prom, then Post Prom (at the beach). I'm so excited! Wish me luck!!

Have a great day, y'all!!

The Trials and Tribulations of Hair: John Frieda Go Blonder

I am finally achieving the hair that I have always wanted. It's shoulder length, almost one-length, and turning very, very blonde! At the end of my freshman year of high school, I started using John Frieda's Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner. They gradually lighten your hair (very, very gradually) but you can see a difference after a while. John Frieda just re-released all of the "go blonder" products, so maybe they changed their formula to be a little stronger...

Now, I'm using the just released John Frieda Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray. It's like Sun-In...but I trust it more. I ordered it online from Drugstore.com, and I've been using it for about a week. It works really well! It takes about 2-3 times for the results to show, but it works reallyyy well. My hair is much blonder, but it's not fake looking. I would strongly recommend this product!!

Have a great day everyone!!

The Bob

As much as I try to grow my hair out, I always end up cutting it off again! Yesterday I got my hair cut and it's back to it's original state: Right above my shoulders (bob style). So here are some lovely ladies for short hair inspiration!

Have a great day, y'all!!

The Trials and Tribulations of Hair: Favorite Haircuts

Oh, hair. How I love to hate you. Here are some envy-worthy hairstyles that I love!

Does anyone remember the 2009 Vanity Fair with Jessica Simpson on the cover? I adore her (and her hair in this issue!). It was very retro and pretty and I am in love with it. It's tempting me...

As y'all know, The Holiday is one of my all-time favorite movies, and Cameron Diaz's hair is to DIE for. It's the perfect length, it's cute, and it's super blonde. I'm definitely partial to short hair, as that's what I've had for basically my entire life...

Of course, I have to add in my collection of Grace Kelly's impeccable hairstyles.

Even though I don't watch Mad Men (my parents do), I just adore Betty Draper (January Jones). I love her clothes, her (ex) husband (Jon Hamm!) and her hair. Her character is basically an imitation of Grace Kelly, but still!!

This is Camilla Belle. She's an actress, even though she's never been in anything, but her style is fantastic and her hair always looks great. She was part of the "long bob" movement, but now she's growing out her hair.  Either way, I want it!

Have a great weekend everybody!

xoxo, Hannah
