THE HUNGER GAMES

WHO'S EXCITED??

I started reading The Hunger Games over Christmas break, and I am absolutely obsessed with them!! Honestly, they are the best book series and I am so happy that the movie is coming out this month!!

The movie comes out during my spring break, so I know I'm going to be dragging my family to the movie theater on March 23rd! Also, I'm excited to see how they adapt the book to the movie. It's definitely going to be super action-packed! Plus, JUSH HUTCHERSON IS THE CUTEST! Team Peeta all the way!!

Who's going to be making a trip to the movie theater to see The Hunger Games on March 23rd? Let me know!!

Have a great day!!

The Help

Last week I started reading the fantastic book "The Help" and I almost finished it in one sitting!! It was so good and while I only read it so that I could compare it to the movie (which came out yesterday), it was a treat to read. My mom and I are so excited to go see it, and we're going to drag my brother along to see it with us (it'll be our 7th movie this summer). I adore Emma Stone and my mom thinks Viola Davis is one of the best actresses ever. I can't wait to see how mean Hilly is in the movie in comparison to the book also.

Are y'all going to see "The Help"? Let me know!!

Have a fabulous day!

Summer Movies

This summer has definitely been the movie summer. My brother and I have seen 5 movies so far and they are still good movies coming out!! It's nice because since I have my license this summer, Drew (my brother) and I can drive to the movies whenever we want! Here are the movies we've seen so far:

Captain America
Love love LOVE this movie!! We saw this last night and I loved it. It was so pro-USA and Chris Evans is fantastic looking. But if y'all go see it, definitely be prepared for some depressing parts!! I was shocked at some of the things that happened in the movie!! I'm trying to convince Drew to see it with me again this week.

Harry Potter
Ah. Harry Potter. How I truly love thee. This was definitely the tear-jerker of the summer (even when it wasn't supposed to be...) because it was the end of the decade long series. But besides the fact that my childhood is officially over, I loved the movie!! It was legitimately good. It went by really quick, it had a perfect action-to-dialogue ratio, and there was nothing that I would have changed about it!!

Midnight in Paris
My mom took me and Drew to Midnight and Paris and we honestly had no idea what it was about. We were pleasantly surprised!! I love the 20's and I spent a majority of my sophomore year learning about American Literature (such as Fitzgerald and Hemingway) and it was so much fun to see the authors/singers/etc. portrayed on screen!!

Transformers
Drew and I dragged my grandmother to see Transformers when she visited and we all really liked the movie!! Drew was obsessed with the Transformer toys when he was little, and I love the movies (cough cough Shia LaBeouf/Josh Duhamel). It was much better than the 2nd one. I didn't think Megan Fox's replacement - Rosie Huntington-Whitely - was bad at all, and it was funny to see Patrick Dempsey play the villain!

X-Men
Ahh I wish I had seen this movie twice. I had only seen one other X-Men movie before and I had no idea who everyone was to begin with, but this was a fantastic movie. I loved it!! James McAvoy is the best and the rest of the cast was surprisingly funny. When I got home I watched the rest of the X-Men series (which cleared up a ton) and now I'm hooked!!

Next on our list is (regrettably) Cowboys and Aliens. I'm only going because of Daniel Craig! Then I'll probably see The Help and I want to see Friends with Benefits and Horrible Bosses.

What movies have y'all seen? Let me know!!

Have a fabulous day!!

My Favorite Chick Flicks

On top of the 6 inches of snow that my house got last week from a snowstorm, last night there were 15 extra inches of new snow in my backyard! School was already called off by 5:00 yesterday, so I was able to enjoy sleeping in an extra 2 hours. Unfortunately, this is the last week of the semester so I can't be completely lazy today for I will be finishing up the last assignments before everything starts over again! But, in my free time, I might be able to watch some of my favorite feel-good chick flicks! Here they are:

Y'all know my unnatural obsession with The Holiday. I now have my own copy for me to watch whenever I want!

For comic relief, there's Mean Girls. I first saw it when I was in seventh grade and I fell in love!

This is SUCH a cute movie... and I love James Marsden.

I saw this movie 3 times in theaters, I think. It's really funny and Ryan Reynolds is adorable. Plus, Betty White is the best.

My favorite beyond favorite chick flick is Legally Blonde. Elle Woods is amazing and I totally understand the East Coast uneasiness!

What are y'alls favorite girly movies? Let me know!!

Christmas Movies

First, I'm so sorry for my lack of posting! I really didn't have anything to do last week since I had school for 2 days and the rest was hanging out with my family. Though, I did pass my driving test! I'll be a licensed driver on Wednesday (there are horrible, long laws about teenage drivers in my state). Second, I'm extremely happy that it is finally the Christmas season. It's always so much fun and happy! Here are some of my favorite Christmas movies to celebrate the season!

I'm so upset, for some reason I cannot find our home copy of The Holiday. My mother and I were going to watch it last week since we had so much free time but it was no where to be found!

What are y'alls favorite Christmas movies? Let me know!

Harry Potter 7!

Oh my goodness gracious, who has seen it?? I saw it Friday night with one of my friends and her family, but I'm seeing it again later on today with my dad! I can't wait! This movie definitely ranks highest in my favorite HP films. It was true to the book, expertly done, and just AMAZING!

Have a great day everyone!

Airplane Playlist & My New Favorite Movie

Here are some of my current obsessions in terms of music! Please forgive me for some of the choices, I may be girly but my music taste is definitely not!

Also, while I was packing up everything this morning, I watched the cutest movie!

"27 Dresses"! It's been out for a while, but I'm in a "Chick Flick" movie watching phase and I decided to watch it. I LOVE IT! It's so cute, and James Marsden is just adorable. Everytime I see Katherine Heigl in something, I like her more and more. I definitely recommend "27 Dresses"!

Have a great day!!

Nancy Meyers

I love this woman! Y'all might know her as the director/writer/producer of the amazing films, "Something's Gotta Give", "The Parent Trap", "Father of the Bride", "Baby Boom", "The Holiday", and "It's Complicated". I can easily say that all of these movies make my favorites list. I am currently watching "Something's Gotta Give". It's hysterical, and the weirdest part about it is that Diane Keaton's character is basically my mother. Their mannerisms, sarcasm, and love of turtlenecks are all identical, and I just have to laugh whenever I see Diane!

Anyway, I just thought I would give a shout out to these movies because they are all great. The houses are always to die for (Cameron Diaz's house in "The Holiday", Dennis Quaid's house in "The Parent Trap",  the adorable house in "Father of the Bride", the list goes on and on), and I love the casting in every single movie! The setting is always clean and beautiful, and 9 times out of 10 I love what the female characters are wearing.

Watch these movies! They're the best!
